Hi, my name is Gurjot Sidhu with Gurjot New York, Luxury Work Wear for Women. I'm here to talk to you today about business suit advice. My first part of, the first part of advice I'd like to give you is about quality fit and balance. Everything else can be altered so just make sure the shoulder fits you well and then the rest of the jacket can be altered to fit the shape of your body and once it fits you perfectly it looks gorgeous and balance is about making sure that the length of the pieces that you are wearing on the top balance with the length of the piece on the bottom so whether it's a jacket and a skirt or a jacket and pants, just take a look in the mirror and make sure the proportions work out and fit uniquely to the shape and size of your body whether you have a short high waist or a short torso, you'll be able to tell just by looking in the mirror what the right balance is. So the first part of my advice is always think of those three items when you are shopping for a suit, quality, fit and balance. Now I'd like to talk to you about what to wear depending on what industry you work in. If you work as a lawyer or in management consulting or as an investment banker, typically your work environment is a little more conservative. So you need to go with a more conservative power look and I would recommend a suit like this. It's a dark charcoal gray pinstripe with a very subtle but gorgeous silk shell on the inside. Again the cut is immaculate but having, wearing a suit when you are in that industry that is understated with maybe a pop of color if you'd like to or a fun accessory like a trendy necklace can make a really strong statement. And for shoes I recommend patent pumps. They are a little more fun than just a matte black leather and they also give your outfit a little extra pop but that's what I would recommend for someone working in a more conservative industry. If you are working in marketing or advertising, you have a few more options because what you wear usually reflects your creativity. So I recommend fun sheath dresses or wrap dresses. This is a great basic sheath dress in a charcoal gray. You could wear it in black or navy. Dress it up with a fun trendy necklace and it can be worn for example with a really fun booty. This has a patent leather toe and a flannel body with a black ribbon. It's just a really fun statement shoe when the rest of your outfit is kind of conservative and basic you can dress it up with a shoe or in the Winter seasons, wear it with thick tights and a booty which is also really fun if you are in the advertising market and space. Another great way to reflect your creativity is by wearing a dress like this, it's a gorgeous wrap dress that again you can accessorize with any kind of shoe or tight, lined in a beautiful silk. So the silk, the color of the silk really pops and lets you show your personality. This purple pinstripe on a charcoal gray is a beautiful combination of conservative but trendy. Another fun wrap dress idea is this, it's a navy bold pinstripe wrap with a green lining, a bright Springy green lining, again allowing you to really show your personality. Heading out of town for the holidays? Try this trick before you start balling up that blazer. TODAY's Ben Popken demonstrates how to pack everything in one bag without wrinkles or creases, using the power of "bundle wrapping."
Here's how to bundle wrap:
Once you get to your destination, hang everything up in the closet. "Bundle wrapping" might take a little bit longer at first. But once you get a handle on it, the wrinkle and crease savings are worth it and it shouldn't take you too long at all.

Take your next shirt and lay it 180 degrees to the first one. Arrange it so the edge of both collars just touch the edge of where the core goes.
Great! Now you're ready to go. Make sure to not overpack. This technique works best when you only pack the essentials.
Now you're going to lay out the clothes in a specific order. Shirts are on the vertical and pants are on the horizontal:Jacket
Then, lay out a long sleeve shirt and smooth it out flat with arms out and collars up.
This method works so well because of two things. First, the tension from wrapping all the clothes around each other cuts all the wrinkles. Second, because you have zero folds, it gets rid of all the creases.
First you make a "core," using something like luggage organizer. You can also fold up some socks in a shirt. This goes in the center of the bundle.

But by using a floor level of 500, SEBI may have allowed several such transactions to slip from its radar. "A single person using 50 60 fictitious demat accounts is much more commonplace," says a Mumbai based broker. For instance, SEBI also found the menace in the Maruti IPO, but it was excluded from the April 27 order. as fewer than 500 fictitious accounts were used.
Ironically, no matter how wide or deep it runs, this scam could still be a blessing in disguise for investors. For starters, there's a distinct possibility that those who were deprived of their allotments in the IPOs under SEBI's magnifying lens could get some shares and instantly cash in on the appreciation that most of those stocks, now listed, have seen.
It was unravelled after a six month long probe which yielded a 300 page investigative report and involved audits by independent chartered accountants and visits by SEBI sleuths to Ahmedabad to determine the authenticity of the addresses of the involved demat accounts holders. Its discovery led to a 490 point drop in the Sensex followed by a 507 point recovery within five hours.
The 6,315 allottees had sequential bank accounts at the same branch of Bharat Overseas Bank. They all had demat accounts with Karvy. The demat and bank accounts had been opened on the same day. Of the 6,315, 6,221 allottees had the same address as Panchal's sister. The rest had the same address as Panchal's. Her financiers went on to make a killing on listing. SEBI found that the fictitious demat accounts had been in use since 2003.
Besides, there were numerous behind the scenes negotiations, ministry level parleys and general drama. So, is it possible that SEBI's investigations have only unearthed the proverbial tip of an iceberg of financial chicanery? Could more IPOs, more allotments, more criminals be involved?
P. CHIDAMBARAM, FINANCE MINISTER
That's the amount raised from small investors like you and me in the 105 IPOs between May 2003 and December 2005, 21 of which have been identified by SEBI as those where ordinary investors were cheated. Not by the issuing companies but by scamsters.
Whether or not the scam is revealed to have had wider dimensions, its discovery is fortuitously timed. With the IPO pipeline overflowing with over 100 issues in the next 12 months, investors can only benefit from the clean up drive launched by SEBI. Says legendary investor Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, "SEBI's proactive approach to the scam will frighten others from attempting something similar."
Further probe revealed that Panchal had applied for 1,050 shares under her own name while she was entitled to a maximum allotment of 150 shares. She did not receive any allotment in the IPO! Panchal's bounty, which she passed on to her seven financiers, had come from off market transfers from 6,315 allottees. Ravichandaran didn't take long to conclude that Panchal had stage managed fictitious applications.
Especially since it's hard to believe that it was just a handful of clever charlatans manipulating the system to such an extent that Finance Minister P. Chidambaram acknowledges it as a systemic failure. Consider this: the underbelly of the share allotment process involved rampant misuse of not just demat accounts but also multiple bank accounts by moneylenders and fictitious persons.
The probe is yet to look at transfers that either took place after the day of listing, or are yet to happen. SEBI officials say that further investigations will scrutinise lower floor levels and post listing transfers. So, more cans of worms may be revealed.
The process of uncovering of the scam began in October last year when the head of surveillance at SEBI, R. Ravichandaran, was studied offmarket transfers of IPO shares prior to listing. He found that Ahmedabadbased Roopalben Panchal had transferred 9.3 lakh shares alloted in the Yes Bank IPO, amounting to 5.3 per cent of the shares reserved for retail investors, to seven others.
Finally, SEBI looked at the demat accounts that had got off market transfers from over 500 accounts before listing to confirm that those identified in the first step had used the clusters of demat accounts dug out in the second step to amass allotments.
but investors may benefit from corrective measures
Eventually, following painstaking investigations, SEBI uncovered repetitions of this modus operandi in as many as 21 IPOs by 22 fraudsters who appear to have acted as fronts for 85 financiers and brokers whom SEBI suspects of being the main instigators of the scam.

More important, the scam has already propelled SEBI onto a clean up course that will make IPO allotments more transparent and reduce if not eliminate the possibility of such swindles in future.
On April 27 this year, SEBI issued a 300 page emergency interim order stating that investigations had revealed a series of IPO scams. In an ex parte order, it named 22 scamsters for cornering allotments in 21 IPOs without, however, the knowledge of the issuing companies.
However, people closely associated with the stock markets believe that these investigations have not revealed the entire picture. SEBI used three filters to scan allotments in the 105 IPOs that hit the markets between May 2003 and December 2005 to check for more cases of hijacked allotments. First, it looked for more than 20 demat accounts sharing a common address to identify operators such as Panchal, who may have opened multiple accounts. It then looked for clusters of over 500 demat accounts with the same address to zero in on the pool of afferent accounts being abused by them. This gave a clue to the extent of their operations.
What originally looked like a single case of clever cornering of IPO allotments for making a quick buck has already blown up into a multi IPO, multi operator, multi account scandal. It includes more than two dozen market operators, of which five are behind bars, and illegitimate gains of Rs 70 crore.
Justifying the ban, the SEBI order said that if those found to have tilted the allotments in their favour were allowed to operate in the market anymore, the IPO allotment process would suffer incalculable damage and retail investors' confidence would be undermined.
Under the sanitised IPO process, allotments and listing now happen on the same day so that no one can play around with allotments prior to listing. With a Permanent Account Number now mandatory for demat accounts even existing ones will need them fictitious accounts will be hard to open.
Cutting a wide swathe, the order banned 85 financiers cum brokers and 29 operators from market transactions. Caught in its net were a number of depository participants (DP) who were ordered not to accept new demat accounts, with Karvy Stockbroking and Pratik DP even being instructed to shift their clients' demat accounts.
As per SEBI estimates, these financiers raked in gains of Rs 72.38 crore by cornering 2.6 crore shares 8 per cent of the total shares allotted to retail investors in the 21 IPOs. This is close to the amount unearthed by the income tax department from the fraudsters. The accused have admitted a total income of Rs 60.62 crore, and have paid Rs 14.66 crore as tax.
For, behind the Rs 70 crore IPO scam that stalked the primary markets since 2003, only to be busted in December 2005, lurks a Rs 24,000 crore question: are there more IPOs, investors and swindlers involved than have been discovered so far?
Thousands of demat and bank accounts were opened on the same day with the same branch bearing sequential account numbers. The account holders had the same address and yet, strangely enough, no one at the banks or depositories smelt a rat.
Naturally, this provoked frenzied protests from those banned. Indiabulls Securities, which services 2.6 lakh retail investors, managed to have its ban put in abeyance, while Karvy (7 lakh demat accounts) got a stay on the ban from the Andhra Pradesh High Court. Of course, in a follow up clarification that came minutes before the markets opened on April 28 and thus reversed the initial free fall of stock prices SEBI allowed the 10 lakh plus clients of these 29 intermediaries to continue to trade.
Visits by SEBI investigators to determine the authenticity of the demat account holders led to slum hutments in Ahmedabad. Brokers such as Mahesh K. Shah of Infinite Financial Services opened these accounts by collecting voter IDs from the slum dwellers. The RBI has found significant irregularities in the opening of the fictitious accounts and IPO funding by banks. Could all this have been possible without larger collusion in planning and execution of the crime?

Centre promises support for Ayurvedic centre in Kerala
The state Health minister Sivakumar noted that in Kerala "Ayurveda is not only an alternative way of treatment, but also one of the engines for the state's economic growth. The industry, which is worth Rs 1,000 crore annually, aims to grow five fold by 2020."
He also urged stakeholders in the AYUSH sector to intensify research and awareness to promote the Indian system of medicines in foreign countries.
At a function here today Naik said the Centre would fund for the setting up of the clinical research facility at Konni in Pathanathitta district, as state Minister for Health and Family Welfare V S Sivakumar promised to provide 50 acres required for the project.
Union Minister for State for AYUSH Shripad Yesso Naik gave the assurance while announcing the new National Programme of Ayurveda Inspired Discovery and Research, initiated by the Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (RGCB) and the proposed National Ayurveda Expo 2015, to be held in April.
The Union Minister, who had been touring the state for some days to learn more about Ayurvedic practices, its education and industry, also said "Kerala can contribute immensely towards raising the status of traditional healthcare systems for which we require scientific inputs, standardisation and certification processes."
The RGCB is setting up a National Centre for Excellence for Ayurveda Inspired Discovery to lead research into efficacy mechanisms involved in Ayurvedic therapeutics.
"We should promote and propagate the Indian system of medicines and its benefits not only within the country but also abroad. AYUSH medicines are needed to be propagated globally. For that I urge AYUSH industry to promote research studies and come up with quality medicines," he said.
The knowledge of 5000 year old Ayurveda can be utilised for the benefit of the society through proper research and studies in the sector, he said.

We have a few rules here, please take a moment to make yourself aware of themYeah but if you eating a bunch of sugary stuff or even processed shit in a vegan diet (like eating potato crisps or whatever that contain no meat or animal products) it still unhealthy, just like with any diet moderation and careful planning is a must. Eating a shitload of rice, potatoes, or other carby stuff isn exactly the best nutrition wise seeing as carbs are pretty much sugar anyway.

It may not have the A list credentials of The Ivy, or the swagger of nearby Balthazar, but Caring has clearly invested to make it an A team operation. And the Ivy crowd seems to be drifting across; we spotted a big West End producer among the early adopters, lunching with a casting director. If they're hoping to cast a villain in their next production, they are going to have to keep on looking.
There's a prime row of slinky curved banquettes up one side, clearly the best tables. And then there's the room we're put in at the back, a dull, viewless dead zone which feels more like a branch of Caf Rouge than The Ivy.
There's real finesse in a frozen milk chocolate parfait, proving the kitchen, under Sean Burbidge, the former head chef of Gordon Ramsay's Petrus, has skills well beyond the posh comfort food we've had so far. Even in Siberia, the service is first rate, from aproned waiters who are clearly pros. I may have come to boo, but by the end of lunch, I'm ready to cheer; the Market Grill isn't just an Ivy diffusion line, it's a really good restaurant in its own right.
Service
Prawn cocktail Marie Rose is properly served in a silver coupe with a muslin wrapped lemon, and absolutely packed with prawns. There's no sense of corners being cut, or margins worked. Hang on, this wasn't in the script.

Now the famous are mostly upstairs in the Ivy Club (or at the Chiltern Firehouse), gawping at each other, and whoever else has a grand a year for membership. So having already extended the Ivy brand, Caring's decision to risk further dilution by launching a 'little sister' brasserie, just as the original closes for refurbishment, seems risky.
The low slung, masculine dining room, dominated by a steel and pewter bar, references the original Ivy, rather than slavishly imitating it. Martin Brudnizki Studios, also responsible for the Ivy Club, are past masters at creating the illusion that new restaurants have been around for ever. The look here is mid century Manhattan grillroom, dark, woody and leathery, and it works pretty well, despite the tell tale whiff of fresh paint.
But it's what's happened to The Ivy, the jewel in Caring's crown, that makes the restaurant watchers in the gallery fearful. By opening a swish members' club directly above his theatreland favourite, Caring disastrously split the traditional Ivy crowd. The pleasure of the place used to be the chance it gave for civilians to mix with celebs. From Cilla and Dale to Jack Nicholson and Michael Caine, there was always someone famous to gawp at.
Like the design, the menu is inspired by, rather than copying, the original. It's an all day, all meals, all occasions offer, starting with breakfast from 7am, and running through to the small hours. The choice is bewildering, taking in trad grills, seafood and snackier dishes my eye is drawn by the truffled chicken sandwich on toasted brioche.
It's been nearly 10 years since (fashion) Baron Caring bought the Caprice Holdings group of restaurants, which then included The Ivy, Le Caprice and J Sheekey. It was the first acquisition in what's become an enormous portfolio of restaurants, members' clubs and chains. Nothing villainous about investing so heavily in the industry, of course, even if some of the group's more recent launches, such as Grillshack and Jackson + Rye, are just canny syntheses of other people's ideas.
Some dishes are inspired by Ivy classics, and it's to these that we gravitate. Duck salad, the meat roasted Peking style and shredded, comes with bean sprouts and pomegranate seeds, like the original, but it seems more substantial, and it's certainly prettier, heaped on translucent slices of black radish.
Main courses are even better. Lemon sole, golden under a mess of capers, lifts easily from the bone, and the fat, airy beef dripping chips are, to quote a departed Ivy regular, historic. Shepherd's pie made with slow braised lamb shoulder and mash gilded with Keen's Cheddar, is better than I remember from The Ivy (and 5 cheaper); no wonder it's already the Grill's bestselling dish.
On first impressions, the new place, which occupies a roomy two floor space overlooking the Actors' Church and the piazza, feels a lot more accessible than the mother ship. No top hatted doorman here; walk ups are encouraged to stroll in, past pavement tables which will be fought over in warmer months,
